Happy 1st of July! If you’re living in the UK right now, you’ll know we’ve been having a heatwave for just over a week now. Today felt like the first cloudier day in a while so me and my sister decided to go exploring. Our place of choice started from the beautiful Poets Walk, Clevedon.
Having only just recently purchased a new camera (Canon 700D), I was desperate to go out and try it and when Kate volunteered to drive to Clevedon I couldn’t refuse.
We parked the car in a little road by the start of Poets Walk and then traipsed along all the way to the Pier.
We bumped into quite a few people whilst we were walking and the majority all smiled and said hello which is always so lovely. I feel like I notice it more here just after I’ve come back from other countries where people aren’t anywhere near as friendly!
The views on the walk are stunning, it’s the kind of place I would come again with a book and chill. It’s very relaxing. Plus it wasn’t too busy which was nice. I find large open spaces to have a very calming effect, does anyone else find this too?
When we finally got to Clevedon seafront we called into a little cafe called Scarlett’s which I would thoroughly recommend. It is great if you’re coeliac as they do gluten free bread. We then found perhaps one of the nicest gardens I have ever been too.
The Secret Garden
This garden and conservatory is how I would imagine mine would be if I had one (unrealistic I know, especially with my lack of horticulture skills). I feel like I could sit in that chair for hours just reading and relaxing. They also had a shop which had the cutest gift items in.
This is honestly my dream garden, it wasn’t too big yet it was full of beautiful bright flowers with the cutest conservatory.
Where is your favourite garden?
